One of the most notable summer programs available in Egypt is provided by the Cairo American College in Maadi. The CAC summer school has offerings for ages pre-school to high school. Sport-centric programs are great for active kids and teens, and all the athletic coaches are brought in from the Dutch Academy in the Netherlands. Swimming classes are another very popular choice and usually fill up quickly due to high demand. Other offerings include a pre-school, as well as individual courses that older kids may select from to create their own personal schedule, ranging from cooking to acting and creative writing to gymnastics. This summer there will be two sessions, each running around two weeks long. The first begins in mid-June and the second will begin in early July.
